Why generic pro racks? They're usually a vibration mecca without sides to properly couple the shelves & low internal dampened metal materials. I decided to make a metal reinforced 1" MDF rack instead. I chose to use a laminate of aluminum & nickel-based stainless steel for the metal. The coupling makes an excellent shield while increasing its internal damping.
Um, I thought we were talking about hardware and not shelving units!?!?I was talking about 19" rack mount pro gear. Not the 19" racks.

Again, I was talking about pro audio gear...not racks, not
audiophile gear, but pro audio gear. Like the kind that you
use for MAKING the music.TLR
