I think db has it right with the H-10. I bought mine this past Spring and even then there were rumors that DirecTV was revamping their HD, and that the H-10 was going to be replaced. I haven't been following but haven't heard anything from DirecTV about this in their newsletters, etc. I would try and find out if I were you. I am happy with my H-10 --- it is much, much better than the Mitsu it replaced. Actually, while researching for the new receiver, it seemed to me that everyone but DirecTV themselves have stopped offering DirectTV receivers.

That's my experience anyway.
