I Need a little help picking a decent subwoofer. Currently have a little Yamaha 60 watt job and need to upgrade. Searching the archives I found the VTF-2 MK2 and the PE Dayton Titanic mentioned repeatedly. Are these decent or should I look at something else? I'm hoping to spend around $350.00 and it will be used for mostly HT and some music, Occasionally at very loud levels. I'm using a Yamaha RXV-2400 receiver. Thanks for any info or ideas. Tommy

If you are proficient with a kit, then the PE stuff should give you a nice dollar to performance ratio...

GREAT GEAR DESTROYER!!!
If you want quickness and seamless blend with the rest of your system, I would try a REL. It is fast and I have a strata II with my Magnepan 3.6. It is fast and musical. It also packs a punch when it counts. Definitely worth a listen in the showroom. Audiogon.com has used models for sale by owners.
That's how I got mine.
