I hear that this unit has an 8ms response time so I'm hoping that motion artifacts won't be a problem.I went with Amazon which has it for $999 with no tax or delivery change.
I'm reluctant to do business with a no-name internet seller.
Way too many horror stories.
I figure the extra $75-100 is what I'm paying for piece of mind.
FWIW, I ordered my Sony 42" plasma through Vanns.com and I have nothing but great things to say about them. Totally professional and reliable. Set came in 5 days exactly as promised.
Any of those internet electronics places with no physical address or an address in Brooklyn or even NYC (absent well know sellers like B&H Photo, J&R MUsic World, etc.) are to be avoided like the plague.

CU takes what 6 months or more to compile data and get their report out into print. I seriously doubt CU is on the cutting edge of home theater and HDTV's. They are not so hot on pc's, home audio, or digital cameras. Their top of the line washing machines choice a few years ago was a dog. A class action suit was filed against the manufacturer that CR said was so very good. I know because we own one but ours is still on extended warranty. Many people got burned badly. They are not so good on cars either imho. Many newer hdtv models will have appeared by the time they have finished compiling their reports and printed it out months after they started this project. If you read my above post on streetprices.com there are stores listed in NY/NJ with brick and mortar sites and internet sales that have lower prices. Whatever. I guess some people deserve to pay higher prices. Good luck! John
