If its not very deep, you could probably find an automotive glass repair product for filling and polishing it. Filling windshield chips with acrylic or epoxy is a common practice on cars now. If you're not into DIY, call a windshield repair shop. It would probably be harder than glass to polish it out since plastic is soft.
