here in the US of A? Do HP 1630 disc drives get around region coding? TIA.
Follow Ups:
However, your system will see that it's a Region 2 DVD and prompt you to change the region setting. You get to do this 5 times and then it locks. There is software on the internet that will fix this problem, but I've never tried it.Instead, just download DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter. You can then make a perfect copy of the disc, only you can now burn it as a Region 1 (or Region 0) DVD. Your computer will never prompt you again because DVD Decrypter will basically "turn off" the region sensing crap in the computer. You can load discs from any region and you will never again get a prompt or be locked into a region.
