I have a question about what type of adapter I would need for this scenario: I have a Sony Handycam with RCA sound and video outputs, and would like to be able to build/purchase an adapter that will allow me to plug the Handycam into a Cable TV/Coaxial input on my older TV. The local Radioshack says the only thing that will do this is a $30 black box, which is about 6 times what I want to spend. Thanks-
andrew
I think there is a device out there which will do exactly what you want, but I can't remember for sure. If radioshack says $30, they might be right. If you have an old VCR laying around with RCA ins, you could just hook that up to the TV. If your Handycam is mono then you could use a really old VCR.RichardH
That may very well be your only option. If your TV doesn't have RCA inputs, you will be forced to use a converter of some kind. I'm sure you could DIY, but I can't help you on that one.
