Sorry if this has already been hashed out previously on here. If so, tell me where to look. I've been considering the Tosh AX2 or the AX1 unit and it appears that the 2nd gen AX2 cosmetically seems to be more along the lines of the A2 as far as cabinet looks and the AX1 also looks like the better thought out unit with the exception of 1080p. The AX1 really looks nice and it appears to like a substanial and more robust piece compared. Anyone have the skinny besides the obvious 1080p difference.
Follow Ups:
The XA1 is a first gen player and is a heavy duty A1. for all practical purposes, the A2, Xa1 and A1 are more or less the same (XA1 is more substantial). The XA2 is a whole different creature. It has a better chip in it, the Silicon Optix Reon HQV. If price isn't an issue, I'ld say go for the XA2. I have the A1, and I'm considering upgrading.

Could I screw up the model numbers any worse. Must of had a long day.
I guess my point was that I really think that the XA1 has the appearance of a much nicer (substantial)and has the looks of a hi-end piece compared to the newer XA2; which to me (without seeing it in person) looks more like the entry level models. However, the upgrades appear to be significant. It seems as though they may have cut back on the quality (housing and who knows what else) for the upgraded technologies? Do you know if either XA1 or XA2 unit has discreet circuitry or special op-amp outputs?
I can't help you with the discrete cicuitry question. The XA1 has the identical curcuits as the A1.
The XA1 has double walled aluminum sides, and an opening draw-bridge to get to the drawer. It does look really good. If you get it, you better upgrade the firmware to 2.0. Be aware, that the G1 machines can be a little quirky.
