I'm new to HT (an old 2 channel guy) and I have a question about audio. I hear a strange "scrambled" sound in my r and l front speakers. It's faint and not really noticable from a distance but clearly there when I'm up close to the speakers. I hear it mainly with dialog. I've noticed it with 2 different HT receivers. My front speakers are ADS L-400's about 3 feet from the TV. Any thoughts?
thanks
Jeff
Follow Ups:
You don't state what the source is (Cable? VCR? Laserdisc? DVD?) but I'll assume it's a DVD player. The player's aidio must be adjusted via its "setup" menu, accessible through its remote. Generally, to decode DVD movie surround you'll want to pick "bitstream" but check the player's manual to get more information. Good luck and keep us posted.
