Anyone Watching Hi Def Cable TV on a Projector?
I just bought an HD DVD player and got it connected through my projector and I was floored by the picture. I am able to get 1080i resolution. Stunning. It is connected via the component video inputs. I'm wondering if I'll get similar results on the projector with the component video connections if I ordered Hi Def cable tv. I currently have satellite tv and I don't have hi def service...it looks muddy on my projector...thanks for your help here.
Follow Ups:
Yes. My Time Warner box lets me fix everything HD-related to 720P, which is the same as my projector. It is a major upgrade over SD cable. I particularly enjoy some of the live concerts shown if HD.
I had cable for a while with pretty decent HD sources; I've since replaced it with DishNetwork and currently receiving almost all their HD offerings (Showtime, network broadcasts, HBO, VOOM channels, TNT, Discovery, HDNet, ESPN, ESPN2, UniversalHD....).
But I can still tell that HD cable isn't as good as a good HD DVD. It is, however, better than SD cable.

If you have a high definition display, it's worth it to get a high definition source to feed it. However, due to a few reasons (bandwidth, compression, etc), it'll be close but not quite as good as the new High Definition formats .
