Well my 8 yr old Sony 46" lost it's green gun. It is $410 for the part and about $200 labor. I doubt it will get repaired as I will then have a $600 investment into an 8 yr old TV and who knows how long until the red or blue gives up the ghost. Hi Def stuff is coming down but not far enough yet to suit me. There are also 18 standards still and I would like to see a little more resolution there before I buy. So now the point of this post.I am looking for ideas on a 32" set I can be happy with for a year or two as I wait for Hi Def to resolve itself further when I will buy and move this 32" into the bedroom. I need two external inputs,no PIP and a price under $700. Any good or bad experiances you can share ? Toshiba,Panasonic,Phillips,GE,Proscan,Sony Any others ? Any mail order deals ?
Thanks
Steve
That should be an easy order to fill. Analog tv have really dropped in price. Try onecall.com as they alway have good prices. Suggest you check consumer reports for reliablity and performance. They have a website as well. Also I have had good luck with Soundcity but there prices seem a little higher than onecall.com.
Check out RCA I got the 27" for 500 bucks brand new 2 years ago I'm sure a 32" is under 800 mine has been flawless for the 2.5 years i've had it i've thrown everything at it pip, s-video (dvd), composite, audio in/outs excellent picture quality too using the s-video from dvd give it a shot!!The only thing I wish it had is Component Video in that will be on my next purchase!!
