I'm running KEF 104.2's as my mains. I'm basically turning my existing 2 channel system into HT .
The KEFs are efficient at 92db but are a 4 ohm speaker. I'm no technical wiz but my understanding is that they will be harder to drive than 8 ohm speakers.
The SR7000 had no trouble running these, in fact I may still get the SR7000 and pair it with my existing two channel power amp, thereby saving a lot of money.
That SR19 sounds so damn nice on its own, though.....
Coming from the "receivers are crap" side of the tracks,(but budget is forcing me in this direction) I have been pleasantly surprised at how good some current receivers can be. Either things have improved or my old system wasn't as good as I thought it was.
