I'm about to invest some money into a home theater for the first time, and I wonder if some of you could help me out a bit. This is to be bought in Norway, so money is not an issue here. It costs a lot more than other European countries I guess....
I've concentrated on three different recievers: Denon AVR-2800,
NAD T760 or Marantz SR5000.CD-players are either Denon DCD-755, NAD C540, NAD523 (5-disc player)
or the Marantz CD6000.DVD and/or VCR are not considered at this moment.
When it comes to loudspeakers, I wish to choose between a
surround system from Dali or Paradigm. Are these good speakers?Dali 808 for front channels, SC-7 for center, 202 for rear and
a SWA-12 subwoofer.Or these from Paradigm: Phantom v.2 for front, CC-170 for center,
Atom v.2 for rear and a PS-1200 subwoofer.Does this system sound OK or is it not good ? I'm gonna watch some
movies and listen to music on my Hi-Fi Surround System.
I know this is a small system, but I don't have the money for a
really big, High-End system.I really like the NAD design and sound, so I would like to have
the NAD reciever and CD-player. Are my choice of NAD elements a
complete mistake up against the other two sollutions ?Are the recievers mentioned big enough to pull the speaker systems
I have listed ?
Any tip at all will help me very much.
I bought the NAD T760 and love it. Great 2 channel, that is my main listening, movies on DVD next. Their EARS system is great for regular tv also.

If it were me, I would stick with the NAD electronics as it will likely provide the best sound and be able to produce the power you will need. I have heard Paradigm speakers with NAD and it is a good first system. Both are excellent values.
