i was wondering what the best sounding dts reciever is for less than $600. i know dts sounds absolutly awesome but some companys equipment just sounds better than others. any input would be greatly appretiated.
I bought a NAD T760 which I compared side by side in the store to the H/K AVR 300. The NAD won hands down, much better sound, in both the surround features and music 2 channel (especially 2 channel). The NAD is more money, I'm not sure how much US, but I thought it was worth the difference.Rick
I have an Onkyo I think its a model555 (might be wrong on the model)
Bought at Circuit City for $600 and am very happy with it
I have a Harman Kardon AVR 300. I paid 600 locally for it. The same can be had on the web for less than 500. It sounds as good as my ADCOM separates. (if not even better). The AVR 500 can be had for under 600 on the web. I would suggest you listen to the Harman Kardon series.
