FYI, Energy Take 5 retails at $1500. My advice to you is buy used equipment. If you look in the right places, ebay for example, you could come away with some great deals. You may want to check local av shops that take in trades, they may have some decent equipment available. If you can't find what you are looking for, if I were your friend I would seriously consider buying a lower end Denon, Yamaha, or Onkyo for $550 and spend the remaining $150 on headphones. Then I'd suggest saving some money for the eventual purchase of the Take 5s...
600.00 about six months ago at audiogone...Sh*t. I'll have to start paying more atten to the pre owned sites.
I think that he'll have to settle for the Awia HT in-a-box route. Thanks,
Jeff
The Energy Take 5 system with the 8" sub can be purchased from http://www.soundpros.com for $595.00 with delivery included in continental US.My understanding is that this is a fairly reputable dealer but you may want to check with audiosurvey.com to verify this.
Hope this helps,
Jet
I stand corrected. List price for the Take 5's are $500.00. That's MSRP. I'm sure you could do better. I gave you the list price for Energy's Encore System $1500.00. Sorry!!!
