Forgive the double post, but I didn't get a reply on my previous one.;-(
I am interested in either the B&K Reference 20 or Parasound AVC-2500 processors for both music and HT. Unfortunately, I'll be ordering either sight unseen. Has anyone had experience with both and which do you prefer?
Thanks,
Robert
Wait for the Ref 30. It is coming out next month and it is "supposed" to be great. Good luck, Harry
The B&K 20 has everything over the Parasound 2500 except two things. I hear the tuner isn't as nice, and it may be a bit bright. Hopefully they address those two issues with the Ref 30. I'll wait for it and the reviews. Thanks.Robert
I have auditioned both but they were in completely different systems.. The B&k with PSb speakers and the Parasound with NHT. I am very familiar with the sound of both speakers. I prefered the Parasound. It did not seem to be nearly as bright. A friend owns a B&k and is very happy with it. But whenever I hear his B&K I do not like the sound. But this could be because of the homedepot cables he is using. However, I have heard a good B&K demo with some Ariel speakers that sounded very good. Still, I would buy the Parasound. This is just my opinion, I do not own either and do not mean to offend those who own B&K which I am sure however that I will.
