In Reply to: Need a good projector for HDtv and DVd 16:9 ratio, suggestions. What about DLP ones? posted by Karl W. on June 25, 2000 at 15:53:11:
I have an alternet site to check out for the latest technical info and reviews. It is: http://www.e-town.com/. Unfortunatly, I have no direct experience on the subject since I just purchased an RPTV that I am just now trying to set up. (See my system on this bb.) One of the things I know you should check on is what scanning formats are NATIVE to the set, (i.e. 480p,720p, 1080i, etc.) Those listed are needed for true HDTV. Also learn if the 16/9 projection ratio is native or if it is achieved by lopping off portions of the picture which reduces the available resolution.
