The HTS is truly the best Preamp/Processor available right now. It is not perfect by any means, but on 2 channel stereo music, there is no equal. As far as DTS and DD, it does what it is supposed to do with no frills. No logic 7 or circle surround but, how often you would use those features is dependent on the individual. I had the MC-1 and got rid of it after a week for the HTS. No balanced connections, Component video switching and all around poor on music. What choice did I have? The instruction manual on the Theta stuff is as thick as an encyclopedia, and while the owners claim it's no big deal, I didn't have the patience or the desire to read such a manual. Read my review in Audio Review on the Krell HTS, I am Eric Bee.
