I have a lexicon DC-1 processor and need to buy a new dvd player. Some of the new dvd players will output a 96k/24bit digital signal. I think the DC-1 down converts this to a 48k/20bit signal. If this is true should buy a player that only sends a 48k/20bit digital signal?
p.s. if the Lexicon does downconvert to normal redbook (44khz -- are you sure it isn't 44 and not 48?) or whatever, then it is less compelling to worry about the 96khz output. However, it may be one of those features that you get and don't use now but use later.
yes the lexicon has 2 sample rates 44.1k and 48k.
