In setting up my new home theater. I had to place my RPTV in front of the built in cabinets that house my components. I have a receiver and all my amps in one cabinet and my source equipment in another, both behind the TV. Now if I want to adjust my reciever to a different source, and setup that source I can't really use remote controls. I purchased some remote control "extenders" that receive the IR signal from remote control and either broadcast it as a RF signal or use the house wiring to send the signal, but both have final RF transmitters that are too directional to reach all the components in a cabinet at the same time. I think I have seen ads for a "power remote" that looks like a small tower that reboadcasts the RF in many directions at once with a strong signal. That would do what I need, I hope, but I can't find one now. Anybody seen such a beast or have a better idea?
Thanks for any suggestions.
