My Toshiba DVD player (just over one year) probably 300 hrs. use, has developed a problem. The picture gets a dark red look and occasionally loses the video signal all together. Audio is fine
Any ideas? Thanks

I do run the audio and video through an Onkyo surround sound amp
Well, it sounds like it could be DVD player. However, it could also be the processor, the cable, or even the TV (unlikely though).I would try hooking up the DVD player various ways to the TV to see if you can isolate the problem. i.e. use at least two different cables, directly to the TV vs. through the processor and even to different jacks on the processor and on the TV. That way you can say for sure where the problem is.

Sounds like you are experiencing Macrovision problems. Are you running the signal through a VCR?Roger Kanno
I'm running it through an amp. The video signal goes through the amp as well
Sounds like a good candidate for a repair shop -- my condolences.
