Got a new TV (thanks to this board for advice) and it has a slight problem with the picture. If there's a dark picture you can see tiny white dots on the screen. They are about 1cm apart in near vertical columns, the columns separated by about 6cm. Does anybody know what causes this? I haven't been able to convince myself whether it's the TV or the signal. It happens w/DirecTV and the VCR, and the TV is Panasonic's 34" 16:9 direct view model. Thanks, Eric

Usually it's bad lines, but by your description I'd assume a power conditioner is necessary. But, that said, a new set shouldn't be that finicky.
Turns out it was a bad cable. Picture looks great now and I'm very relieved!
