I'm thinking about buying a Loewe Planus 30" widescreen for $2,700, which is digital, progressive scan, and HDTV compatible (480p), www.loewetv.com. I'm thinking about the SOny 32" XBR also, but I like the functional look of a widescreen tv like the loewe. The Sony sells for about 2 grand...any other recommendations are appreciated, thanks! By the way, I like widescreen DVD viewing ( who doesn't though?)...
Follow Ups:
I recently got a Panasonic CT34WX50 that I'm very happy with. I got it online for $3k. It's got a 34" flat 16:9 screen. Toshiba makes a similar set as well, but I went with the Panasonic partly because it is silver and a bit sleeker looking, and the matching stand had wheels. I'd certainly compare the Leowe with both of these models. I saw the Leowe sets but I never got very interested in them, I don't remember why not... Good luck - Eric
i will check out the models you mentioned! thanks...
I would suggest you call the manufacture and find out where you would have to take the set if it needed repair. Sensory Science sell Loewe in this country. One of the female rca came off my Cal Audio Labs Processor and I have to send it all the way back to the factory for repair. With other brands I have owned I could get an authorized repair locally. That set is heavy so I would not relish the prospect of packinging it up and shipping it if it need repair.
i'll check into that before laying down the cash...yah i checked the sensory science's website out and noticed they deal CAL...nice stuff.
