It might be the cable you are using. A standard composite cable and a digital cable may be the same in construction and have the same ends, but most composite cables will have more resistance than will a digital cable, and if not all of the signal is able to trasmit through the cable, the reciever will not be able to properly decode the signal, because the signal will be "damaged". If changing settings as the previous follow-up suggests does not help, try changing to a better composite cable or borrow a digital cable to test the setup.Good luck!
