Hullo,I'd appreciate any advice from people who have experience with Outlaw's 1050 receiver compared to a Marantrz sr7000. I've auditioned the marantz and like it a lot but I keep hearing that the Outlaw is a better performer, producing a more natural sound. Both are withing my budget range so right now im looking to see which one really is the better piece for my system. Im concerned about the 65 watts that the Outlaw puts out -- I know that specs are deceiving and that 65 watts out may be really quite the same as the 100 that the marantz puts out. Any opinions?
The receivers will be hooked up to Platinum Audio 806's all around with an old Acoustic Research subwoofer (S12HO, 150 watts, 12 inch).
I live in an apartment so the living room is actually very open even though I've sectioned the listening area to around 14x14.Thanks a lot!

Follow Ups:
I have owned both. I found the marantz 7000 very laid back to a fault and warm. I did not like the crossover at 100hz. Both units are well built. I now have the outlaw and like it more than the marantz. I find the sound much more dynamic and forward, especially compared to the 7K. The 7K was tested by SV and clipped at 63 watts. The hundred watts is probably a 1 - 5 second burst with a resistor. The outlaws 65 watts are more than enough in my 18 X 12 room pushing nOrh marble 7.0 speakers. I liked the outlaw much more. E mail me if you have specific questions.
