When I connect the digital-out from the digital Pioneer Voyager cable box to my Marantz AV560, there is no sound at all.Anyone with experience connecting cable boxes to surround processors, please help.
Thanks

Given my experience with a Marantz AV-9000, I came up with the following ideas:- If it is a coax digital connection (RCA plugs), be sure to use a 75 ohm cable.
- In the SYSTEM SETUP menu you need to associate a device (DSS,TV,VCR,etc.) with the digital input you are using (numbered on the back panel).
- As a start be sure to select the AUTO surround mode.If this doesn't help, I would question whether you are actually getting a digital output from your cable box.

Thanks Mike,- I will try a 75 ohm cable
- I think I did this right as the DVD digital-in works fine
- I will confirm that I am in AUTO mode
I will bring a 'scope home this weekend to confirm digital stream from cable box...
Thanks again
