In less than a year, I have my receiver Pioneer VSX-26TX unable to deliver sound -- well not quite always. When I switch it on, sometimes it takes about 10 minutes for the sound to "start". No audio at all!! So now i never turn off my receiver since yesterday. Sometimes it turns on right away but rarely so. Is it a question of some component not "warming up" as quickly as needed. "Warming up" is used here to include any such delayed reaction .....Any thoughts
Other equip is
Toshiba DVD SD 3109
Pioneer DV 727 301 DVD Changer
JVC VCR
B & W speakers (603 fronts, 601 rears, ASW 2000 sub and cc centre channel)All equipment less than one year old!!! Still I am not fond of the idea of lugging the heavy receiver only to have the guy say that it works because it is not always not working.
How do i address the issue. Any suggestions to look into myself.
No more Pioneer elite for me. Rather buy a $2000 receiver that does not break. Please recommend very durable high quality receiver too since if I have to take this to repair, i will be replacing it when it gets back -- becomes a bedroom receiver.
Cheers and thanks in advance.

I'm no expert, but it sounds like a defective unit. I own the 24TX and it takes less than 5 seconds to "warm up". Mine has been problem free for about a year now. I wouldn't discount the Elite line just yet, but I don't blame you for feeling the way you do either. Perhaps others here could shed a brighter light on the problem.
