I cant compare this unit to others because this is the first DVD player Ive owned. With that said I think this player is a great buy. The picture quality is wonderful. The ease of use and quality feel make the price easy to live with. I have it hooked up to the new Sony wega 32" flat screen with component in. A great combo. The CD players DAC is just as good as the DAC in my B&K Ref 20. That says more about the Ref20 than the Sony. I'd buy it again.....
