Just recently I am getting some horizontal lines (ghosts?) which scroll up my TV picture. I assume this has something to do with my cable connection/wire, but am not sure. Any suggestions to eliminate this? Thanks.

Sounds like a ground loop problem between your cable TV line and a component(s) in your system. As a test, when you watch a DVD movie or VHS tape do you still see the rolling scan line? If so, physically disconnect your cable TV line and I bet it goes away. Also, is part of your system plugged into a different outlet than the rest, i.e., a projector or amp plugged in at the back of the room? This could cause to the problem. The easiest immediate solution is to use a ground lifter (3 prong -> 2 prong outlet plug) on the offending component or on your power strip. Any thoughts on this?
Disconnect all electronic devices around your TV receiver, (unplug their power cords). Does it do any good???
If does, plug in one by one untill you get one that cause problem. There are some solutions depending what device it is.
Unplug and turn off all your phone equipment, any change???
Turn off all radios in a home, any good???
Find, if you can, what it causes interferece and let us know. There are tricks for everything.
