Hi Guys!! I have been playing around here this afternoon and found a question in mine own head that I'd like your opinions on. I have a small 8" sub that is down firing. It's going into a low pile carpet, I've always had a 12" tile underneath to keep the carpet from absorbing all the sound (???). Is this helpful, or is it my overactive imagination that makes me think so?? What do you guys think?? Peace SteveF

SteveO,I think the tile would help if it's thick enough. A lot of it may be in your head, but it should help the sound. And it will deinately serve to kill vibrations. Again, if it is thick enough. I have a slab of marble under mine, and I think it helps. At least with the downstairs neighbors! hahah
