The Onkyo is good and the Outlaw is a good value, but my personal preference is Marantz. Its performance in Dolby Digital and DTS is at least as good as the others, but it REALLY excels in playing stereo music. If musical quality is important to you, the SR5000 is in your price range, especially if you're willing to buy from an internet mail order house. The SR5000 has Dolby Digital AND DTS and is rated at 70 watts for all five channels.I own a Marantz (the '9000' series separates) and have always loved them!!!
