I need to block the magnetic interference from my speakers (Klipsch KLF-20.) They are about 11 inches from my TV with only 3/4 wood and air in between. My room does not allow for anymore space in between. The color distortion is not bad, but it is noticable. What material works the best? Where should I find it? Does anybody know what is used in commercially "sheiled" speakers?
Thanks!

Try a metal cupcake pan (if you can stand the aesthetics, or lack thereof). Really.I used to have my unshielded subwoofer placed near the TV and had the same problem. I entertained my wife's suggestion, at her persistence, and I'll be dipped if it didn't work! I'd bet it has something to do with the geometry, as opposed to just a flat sheet of metal.
Incidentally, I have a new cabinet for the subwoofer, in which the driver is firing down (straight at you before), and I don't have the problem anymore. I suppose the magnetic field from the driver is now perpendicular to the TV field.
Happy baking!
OMG, it does actually work! I found that it works better closer to the speaker than to the TV. Thanks a million!

Glad to hear it worked for you too. Now, about that million you wanted to thank me with . . .
