Criterion has done a fantastic job at restoring and remastering "Gimmie Shelter". The video is so fresh and the music is well done in Dolby 5.1 (Dolby Surround and DTS are also on the disc).
This is the treatment a significant film of that time period deserves. As well, there are plenty of extras. Mono cuts of "Little Queenie", "Carol", and a sit-down version of "Prodigal Son" from the '69 Madison Square Show. And a cool section with Mick messing around with Ike and Tina Turner backstage.
Well done Criterion.
