Your DVD will pass both DTS and DD signals. The DVD player doesn't decode those signals your receiver does. If you want to listen to the DTS soundtrack you will need a new receiver with DTS or a DTS decoder (provided your receiver has 6 channel inputs).Big Matt

granted most curent receivers will sample it back to digital & consequently blurr the sound, but you'd hear it.
