for the 5/1500

The Sherbourn 5/1500 has now replaced my aging Denon amps in the home theater system for good as well as for several better reasons:
1) Stunning tranparency with yet very smooth treble or highs. Its ability to render mircrodynamic or nuances is something one would find in much more expensive models.
2) With 200wpc@8ohm it can drive my very inefficient NHT-VT2 loud and clear without any sign of breaking up or clipping/distortion.
3) Price vs performance: Best bang for the buck. You cannot find or buy any other multichannel amps with this construction and design's quality for the price, let alone the sound of itself.
Sure, Sherbourn is probably not yet a very well known name but you simply cannot go wrong with it so I urge you to take a serious listen to it if you're in the market for a multichannel amp.

Product Weakness: Front LEDs are way too bright which may cause distraction while watching movies in the dark room. Very small slight transformer (60hz) hum as well as it makes very small speaker pop noise whenever the signal source triggers the amps to active mode from standby.
Product Strengths: Tranparency, more lifelike details with very smooth highs. Build quality with true monoblock design and the cost.
