Just bought a Denon AVR 2801. Sounds great in Dolby Dig and ProLogic. Here is my problem. I have about 4 DTS discs and this unit definately does DTS. It even has a signal light for when it gets a DTS feed (that won't light up). I am using a Pioneer DTS DVD player and it should definately pass that signal. Can't get any DTS however.
Instruction manuals and on screen menu's have gotten me nowhere. I don't think it is a matter of not checking something. I think it is a matter of just plain not doing something important I don't know about. Forgive this post as it is after midnight. Any help is appreciated.
Follow Ups:
you have to go to the menu and choose the decoding either 5.1 or dts, I have a pioneer and that what I do, it will not default to dts.
Check for one of two things:
1) Digital out set to Bitstream (not PCM)
2) DTS set to ON.Some players have just the bitstream setting, others have a discrete setting in the audio setup to pass DTS.
Hope this helps. Insomnia rules again tonight for me!
