I thought it was my cheap RS powered splitter, but no. It's the Cable TV signal. I guess Mondial Magic is in order.

Try HomeTech ; I got one for $10 bucks shipped. It's called a Ground Breaker (and it says it has a surge suppressor in it as well). Anyhow, it seems to work very well.

Well, technically it's probably not the CATV signal, but a potential between the CATV ground and your electric ground.Mondial charges, what, $100?
I use an $8 version, I forget who makes it, but it works fine. A lot of installers carry these around and give them away to their customers.
Do a web search.
The little voices told me to get back to work.
