RGB is never going to be available on a DVD unless it was a specialty item that would convert the component video to RGB. The RGB signals are NOT on the DVD disc. The component signals are squished up and deposited on the DVD disc. The component signals are what comes out of the standard TV camera, a result of the history of merging color into the NTSC black and white TV way back when. Only computers have the RGB in its full glory (and of course RGB projectors). To store a complete RGB signal would take a LOT more memory space than the component signals do, so nothing stores them as RGB except maybe a computer file...
Follow Ups:
If you want RGB from a DVD player to your RGB projector, you can use a PC with a DVD player as your source and connect the monitor cable to your projector, or you can use the S-video out from your DVD player with a scan converter like the DVDO iScan plus. The DVDO will give you a good RGB output that you connect to your projector with a standard VGA monitor cable. Looks great.
