O.k., I'm a beginner at all of this technical stuff and will try and explain what I have and what would be the best way to hook-up these items. These items were purchased at different times and some are gifts from this past Christmas. (Nice brothers!!!!)
T.V---Toshiba 36" (CF36G40)
VCR---JVC (HR-VP634U)
Digital Surround Processor---Sony (SDP-E800)
Receiver---Sony (STR-DF715)
DVD---Sony (DVP-S560D)Speakers
Sub---Acoustic Research
Center---Acoustic Research
Fronts---NHT
Rears---Phase TechnologyCurrently Everything is working, but my concern is with all of these components is it hooked up the best way.
I had a friend hook up the majority of stuff and I'm not sure it is the best way.
The speakers are hooked into the Receiver.
The Receiver (5.1 DVD Input)is hooked up to the Digital Surround Processor (Output).
The DVD is also hooked up to the processor using the optical, coax and the video in.
The VCR is hooked up to the Digital Surround Processor and T.V.
The T.V. video is hooked into the processor and the audio is connected to the Receiver. The S-Video is not being used on the T.V.
I hope this is enough information and please be kind with my limited knowledge.
