I know this has been discussed before, but I am having a problem (actually a couple) with my DVD player. It is a Toshiba 5 Disc (not sure of the model number off the top of my head, but it is supposed to be one of the best ones). It has a problem of fading in and out every once in a while. It does this for different movies, so I know it is not the discs. It also freezes every once in while. What could be the problem? I am also thinking about returning it, so what would be a good DVD player (willing to buy the best). Should I get another 5 disc or should I go with a single... does it matter?Thanx.
Follow Ups:
it probably has nothing to do with your player. how is your DVD player hooked up to your tv? if it is not connected directly to the tv, macrovision will usually make the picture fade in and out as you describe. if your tv has only an RF input, you should get a RF demodulator in order for the picture to be stable. many people try to hook up the dvd through a vcr, and that creates the problems
