For about US$2600 the Anthem AVM-1 and for about US$2800 the B&K Ref 30 are two outstanding choices. You can probably also pick up the Sunfire Cinema Grand II (US$3300) for under that price without much haggling.

Those would be my recommendations at your price point in the new market.
