In Reply to: Tommart - you say "one additional composite out" posted by Iguana Man on January 21, 2001 at 13:28:04:
I was talking about the video side. I have one s-video cable and one composite cable going to my Rotel pre/pro. I have one additional composite video cable going to my VCR.
On the audio side, I have one coax digital and one pair of analog cables going from my DVD to my Rotel pre/pro (to different AUX channels). I have another pair of analog interconnects going from my DVD to my VCR.
They are all plugged in at the same time.
Follow Ups:
My problem (I think) revolves around the audio connections *only*. However, here is how I currently have it all connected: DVD digital out to receivers digital in. DVD svideo out to Macbuster unit svideo in. Macbuster svideo out to receivers DVD svideo in. DVD audio analog outs to receivers DVD audio analog ins. And finally, the VCR has its analog outs to and from the receivers VCR analog ins/outs.
Assuming that all the above is correct, my problem is that in order to get audio on my SVHS tape from the DVD, I have to unplug the digital (optical) cable from the back of the DVD player(it is still connected to the receivers optical in). I hope this further explains the problem.
