By all means, return the unit and get a refund. If you only have the $300 to work with, consider the Phillips AV receiver. I think you would be quite impressed by how the Phillips receiver will sound for that kind of money.If you had $400 to spend, I would look for a used or demo Denon 2800 AVR.

I took the receiver back last night and they told me since it was a floor model they cant give me a refund or anything. I hate teh fine print on the back of receipts that say products sold AS IS can not be returned. My only option is to get it repaired, which they will do for free becuase i got a warranty on it. It sucks but I guess its better then nothing.
