GE DVD WIL NOT READ DISCS

MY DAUGHTER LEFT A DVD IN OUR PLAYER FOR THREE DAYS, NOW MY DVD PLAYER WILL NOT READ ANY OF MY DVDS. IT SAYS IT CANNOT READ DISC.

Was it left in continuous play? If so, there's a small chance the laser has been "cooked". Not likely, but possible, I suppose. Otherwise, the suggestion to unplug for a few minutes (reset the internal micros to default states) and re-power up is your best hope.

Try unplugging it for a few minutes and then plugging it back in.

  My Sony DVD had the same prob. It would not read any discs, the Sony guy fixed it in about an hour and said the fuses had blown....
  So, I think you'll need to get GE to fix it if all else doesnt work.
