I must sympathise- a company with the size and proud history of Philips has treated you very poorly.If the problem did not apppear at a different locaton, the there is a slight chance that there is a problem with your home AC power supply.
Try connecting the TV to a different power circuit, or try a Line Conditioner and Filter.The link below has some excellent information on the problem.
Since your set is now out of warranty, I suggest you print the article from the link below and take it to a reputable TV service company in your area. Ask them to carry out the work to isolate and fix the problem.
If that works, and it should, it would be up to you if you wished to take the matter further with Philips. There is no good reason that Philips' service personnel would not be aware of how to fix a relatively simple problem with on of their expensive sets.
