Try talking to AT&T about getting HDTV ever on cable lines. I've talked to so many people who have given me word of "never" to "you can get it now if the stations are broadcasting it", that I am sure that no one there knows what they're talking about. Getting transfered up the ladder through "leads" and "repair techs" gets you nowhere.I guess it doesn't matter anyway. The local and a lot of network broadcasters seem to see nothing in HiDef that'll make them any money. So it looks like they'll just keep abusing the free bandwidth the FCC gave them by cramming more Standard Def digital signals in.
Someone at the FCC needs to get some cojones and lead this thing better.
I think our best shot is Hi Def on DVD. Supposedly it's in the works, but last I heard it could still be two years out.
Bummed.
See Ya. Dave
