How did they manage to wipe out the cards. Are the boxes designed so that they can signal the box to send a large voltage spike to the card?
If so how can they tell which cards to zap and which not to zap?
Inquiring minds want to know.
(The same inquiring mind has a 20" mono TV with no DSS, No Cable and no TV reception because I live in the lowlands)

Not sure- obviously they want to keep it secret - probably a sequence of codes to "re-programme" unauthorised cards to no longer function properly, but many rogue DSS card resellers claim their cards are impervious to ECM from the major broadcasters.
