I have seen that too. Remember, different outputs can be done to different degree of perfection on the same player. It is also possible to sharpen up the image on the interlaced, so it wood look "better". There will always be variations between different samples of the same model - the response of two video channels will never be the same.The main advantage of the progressive (no doubt here - it IS much better) is in the smoothness of the picture and relative freedom of motion artifacts. If you value these things then the answer is a ntch below trivial.
