I'm considering ordering on-line for a Denon 3300. Because the retailer is not an authorized reseller, this unit comes with a reduced warranty. In your opinions has this receiver been reliable?

The AVR 3300 has seen alot of bad press. I can't really say I know why. I have a 3300 as do a few friends. Not a since one of use can complain a bit, but we also don't brag about how the 3300 rocks on audioreview. It is a great amp, good price, and a nice upgrade over my yahama.. Basically it has all the fiber op connections u could want, plus real power.
Because of the problems others had experienced with this receiver, I bought it locally with a clear understanding of the return policy. My local dealer still has these units, though not at an online price. Perhaps you can find one locally and be sure of being able to return it.That said, I haven't had a single problem with my 3300. But the bad experiences of others warrant some caution.
There's been some reliability problems with this unit. To verify, you might check out www.audioreview.com. Get something else.
