I think that you'll find many lcd, dlp and crt projectors handle both formats (not all, but many). I have a sony 70series crt and it does both and has multiple memories for the formats. If you use a crt, you'll have to have it set up in each place in any case and the tech can do this for you. If you use a fixed panel system like a dlp or lcd, this is not as much of a big deal (although they can certainly be calibrated to some degree as well). One thing to consider will be convenience of what you want to "carry" -- my sony weighs about 180 pounds and is quite a clunker for set up. (picture is stunning though)Only other point (and not a problem if the system does both tv systems) is to watch about voltages.
